Un apagón en media España ha dejado a la provincia de Málaga sin luz en plena ola de calor. Sobre las cuatro y media de la tarde la provincia ha sufrido un corte de luz generalizado en el suministro eléctrico que ha perjudicado a la capital, localidades del interior del Valle del Guadalhorce y la Axarquía o Antequera entre otros. En la capital ha sido menos duradero pero en municipios del interior el suministro ha tardado incluso más de dos horas en recuperarse. En Alhaurín de la Torre ha habido cortes en algunas barriadas como Romeral y el Peñón. En Coín, Cártama y Alhaurín el grande también han sufrido apagones. En cambio Marbella y Estepona no se han visto afectadas. La incidencia se ha producido por un problema en la red de transporte de Red Eléctrica. La compañía atribuye el suceso a un incidente con un hidroavión que ha generado un problema en la red francesa de muy alta tensión en un momento en el que se transfería energía de ese país a España. Según Endesa ha afectado a 600.000 clientes en Andalucía y Extremadura.
