Un total de 22 mujeres embarazadas contagiadas por Covid están ingresadas en los hospitales andaluces, de las que dos se encuentran en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos de Málaga. Sevilla es la provincia que cuenta con más mujeres embarazadas ingresadas en sus hospitales, con ocho. Por ello, el Servicio Andaluz de Salud ha hecho un llamamiento a la vacunación contra el Covid de las embarazadas, independientemente de la edad de la gestante. La Junta contactará por teléfono con ellas para informarles de la necesidad de vacunarse y si lo desean gestionarles la cita.
