El Museo de Málaga, en el Palacio de la Aduana, ha recibido en el primer semestre del año 21.728 visitantes. Desde enero, la cifra de turistas ha ido creciendo, pasando de los 1.910 de ese mes a los 7.788 de junio. Este comportamiento se explica por la llegada del buen tiempo y el levantamiento de restricciones por la pandemia que ha permitido mayor movilidad. El Museo de Málaga cuenta con más de 15.000 piezas arqueológicas y 2.000 referencias de Bellas Artes. Los malagueños y visitantes pueden disfrutar de obras como ‘Los Gladiadores’ o ‘La meta sudante’, de José Carbonero; o uno de los más espectaculares: ‘Anatomía del corazón’, de Enrique Simonet, que también deja cuadros como ‘El juicio de Paris’, entre otros. Además, esta semana se ha inaugurado la sala de exposiciones temporales del Museo de Málaga, que llevará el nombre de Eugenio Chicano, artista malagueño que tenía un vínculo especial con este centro artístico. En esta línea, el nuevo espacio abre sus puertas con una muestra homenaje al pintor y grabador, fallecido en 2019.

In addition, this week the temporary exhibition hall of the Malaga Museum was inaugurated, which will be named after Eugenio Chicano, an artist from Malaga who had a special bond with this artistic center. Along these lines, the new space opens its doors with a tribute to the painter and printmaker, who died in 2019.
