Este viernes se ha declarado un incendio forestal en la localidad gerundense de Castell d’Aro. El fuego ha afectado inicialmente a una zona de vegetación baja y según los Agentes Forestales el origen podría deberse a unos trabajos forestales de limpieza de franjas perimetrales que se estaban realizando en la zona. Las llamas han comenzado a mediodía de este viernes y a las 17.00 horas ya habían ardido unas 55 hectáreas de terreno. El fuego se encuentra a escasos metros del municipio de Castell D’Aro y está compuesto por dos flancos, uno de ellos, próximo a la población por lo que se ha desalojado preventivamente a los vecinos de varias urbanizaciones cercanas. El número de evacuados oscila entre las 20 y 40 personas y se ha habilitado el pabellón de deportes de Santa Cristina d’Aro para pasar la noche. En la zona del incendio trabajan un total de 74 dotaciones de bomberos, entre efectivos trabajando en tierra como desde el aire. Los bomberos se afanan ahora en frenar la cabeza del fuego que todavía no había quedado delimitada y evitar que las llamas del flanco derecho se aproximen a zonas pobladas. Este viernes por la tarde soplaba en la zona viento por lo que las autoridades están muy pendientes de la dirección e intensidad del viento en las próximas horas.
