El Gobierno y la Junta de Andalucía se reúnen este lunes para abordar el futuro de Abengoa. La empresa se encamina hacia el que puede ser uno de los mayores concursos de acreedores de la historia empresarial española después de que la SEPI denegara un rescate de 249 millones de euros. El encuentro tendrá lugar a las 16.00 horas en el Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos de Sevilla y asistirán por parte del Ejecutivo central, la ministra de Industria, Reyes Maroto, así como el delegado del Gobierno, Pedro Fernández. Por parte del ejecutivo andaluz acudirá el consejero de Industria, Rogelio Velasco. Además, el alcalde de Sevilla, Antonio Muñoz, ha confirmado que asistirá. Sobre la mesa, como decimos, el futuro de la empresa que había puesto sus esperanzas en un rescate que ahora ha sido denegado por dudas sobre su viabilidad. La decisión tomada por la SEPI hacía que desapareciera la principal opción para mantener la viabilidad de la compañía, ya que ese rescate era condición para que el fondo estadounidense Terramar inyectara 200 millones de euros a cambio del 70% capital, lo que se entendía como la mejor oportunidad para reflotar a la multinacional. La multinacional cuenta con 11.000 trabajadores, de los cuales alrededor de 2.500 están en Andalucía.
