El metro de Málaga al centro no estará listo antes de Feria. Era la intención del Gobierno Andaluz que incluso inauguró la estación de Guadalmedina sin trenes. Y es que todo queda pendiente ahora de las pruebas técnicas que se están realizando en el suburbano malagueño. Unas pruebas que no han acabado y que no están en un estado de madurez suficiente como para garantizar la seguridad de cara a la Feria de Málaga. Y es que son muchos los elementos a tener en cuenta en una infraestructura de este tipo, tales como los sistemas contra incendios, ventilación de túneles, ascensores, escaleras mecánicas y otros propios del funcionamiento de los trenes y su relación con las vías. Por tanto, y sin fecha para la llegada del metro al Centro de la ciudad, hasta ahora, la parada más cercana al centro sigue siendo la del Perchel que se ubica junto a la estación de tren María Zambrano. Preguntado por este nuevo retraso, el alcalde de Málaga, Francisco de la Torre, ha dicho que lo importante es que la obra está terminada a falta de criterios técnicos de seguridad. El regidor resta importancia a esta eventualidad y señala que la Junta de Andalucía ha demostrado claramente su compromiso con esta infraestructura de la ciudad.
