The National Police, together with Customs agents from the Tax Agency, have intervened in the Atlantic Ocean a sailboat that was loaded with 6,000 kilos of hashish. The boat was 130 miles from the coast of Huelva and three crew members were on board who have been arrested. The ship was headed for Spain. The police operation has also been carried out in collaboration with the authorities of the United Kingdom and Italy. According to the Spanish agents, this operation represents a blow to the criminal organizations of the East, leaders in drug trafficking by sea. In addition to the seized drug, the Police have seized a drone, security cameras and a radio frequency detector, among other devices to try to circumvent police surveillance. The vessel, flying the Maltese flag, sailed in February this year to Italy. A month later, she left this country for Spain, settling on the Levantine coast as a logistics point and as a base of operations in order to finalize the preparations prior to loading the drug in Africa. After leaving Spain, they sailed to a point on the Moroccan coast where they loaded the drug with the intention of returning to Spain and introducing the narcotic substance into Europe through the peninsula. However, before reaching land, the boat was intercepted by the agents, as we have just told you.
