Este miércoles se han presentado los nuevos trajes que lucirán los Reyes Magos en la cabalgata de Málaga de este año. Han sido expuestos en la sede de la Agrupación de Cofradías. La vestimenta de sus Majestades de Oriente han sido creadas por el diseñador malagueño, Jesús Segado. Al acto ha asistido también la concejala de Fiestas, Teresa Porras, y los representantes de los Reyes. Este año serán Jorge Gallardo, como el rey Melchor, representando a los medios de comunicación, Alberto Stechini, como el rey gaspar, a propuesta de la Agrupación de Cofradías, y Hady Coulibaly, como el rey baltasar, propuesto por Unidas Podemos, y que trabaja en la Comisión Española de Ayuda al Refugiado. El diseñador ha estado un mes confeccionando las vestimentas en el taller de calle Santa Lucía, cerca de la Plaza de la Constitución. Para estas creaciones ha utilizado tejidos como el terciopelo, lamé, paillet, brocados, tejidos de cintas, lentejuelas, tafeta, sedería o guipur. Este año, como novedad, el atuendo de los Reyes está conformado por una capa, chaleco y un abrigo con su cola correspondiente. Como cada año, el cortejo comenzará con la salida de los Reyes este jueves desde la Alcazaba. Será a las 17.00 horas. De allí se dirigirán al Ayuntamiento donde serán recibidos por los miembros de la Corporación. Después saludarán desde el balcón antes de subir a sus carrozas para iniciar la Cabalgata que comenzará a las 18.00 horas.
