El conjunto monumental de la Alcazaba y Gibralfaro, en Málaga capital, sumó en 2022 más de 1.162.000 visitantes. Son los datos que ha dado a conocer el Ayuntamiento a través del Área de Cultura que dirige Noelia Losada. Las cifras se acercan a las obtenidas en 2019, antes de la pandemia. La Alcazaba y el Castillo de Gibralfaro son los dos monumentos más visitados de la ciudad. La fortaleza musulmana recibió 770.000 turistas mientras que Gibralfaro fue visitado por 392.000 personas. Octubre fue el mes en el que ambos monumentos registraron el mayor numeroso de visitas con 130.000 entre los dos, mientras que agosto y septiembre fueron, por este orden, el segundo y tercer mes con mayor afluencia. Noelia Losada ha valorado estos datos como “realmente buenos” y ha recordado que hay varios proyectos en marcha para mejorar estos dos espacios que forman parte del Patrimonio Cultural de la ciudad y que permitirán una mejor conservación y mantenimiento.
