The Easter crowds without a mask -because this protection is no longer mandatory- are taking their toll. And it is that the toilets have observed an increase in cases of covid and influenza A in recent days. the rate of those infected with coronavirus in the capital has doubled. On April 12, it was 66.2 infected people aged 60 or over per 100,000 inhabitants and a week later, on the 19th, it stood at 125.1. The number of deaths even increased. While the previous week there were two deaths with this virus in the province, the last cut provided by the Ministry of Health included 12. On the other hand, flu cases are also increasing. Especially strain A. Despite the fact that high temperatures should be putting flu symptoms into retreat -as was the case in pre-pandemic times-, there is also a rebound in this pathology after the crowds of Holy Week. Given this increase, they appealed to «the responsibility of each one» and to apply the lesson learned from the pandemic to prevent the spread of respiratory viruses: mask, hand washing, use of hydroalcoholic gel and social distance.
