🔴Noticia – Italia enviará más armas a Ucrania

El presidente de Ucrania, Volodimir Zelenski, ha viajado este sábado a Roma. El dirigente se ha reunido con el presidente de Italia, Sergio Mattarella y con la primera ministra del país, Giorgia Meloni. El mandatario ucraniano ha llegado al palacio del Quirinal donde ha sido recibido con honores. La reunión ha servido para mantener el compromiso del ejecutivo italiano de seguir ayudando a Ucrania en términos militares, financieros, humanitarios y de reconstrucción, a corto y largo plazo. Así lo ha expresado Mattarella en declaraciones recogidas por el diario La Stampa. El dirigente italiano ha dicho que no sólo están en juego la independencia e integridad territorial de Ucrania, sino también la libertad de los pueblos y el orden internacional. Tras el encuentro con el jefe del Estado italiano, Zelenski se ha trasladado al palacio Chigi, donde se ha reunido con Giorgia Meloni. La primera ministra le ha mostrado su apoyo. Meloni ha afirmado que Italia continuará enviando las armas y el material militar necesarios para que se alcance una paz justa. Esta visita, además, supone una respuesta de Zelenski a Meloni, que ya viajó a Kiev el pasado mes de febrero. El líder ucraniano ha dicho que con esta visita quiere dar las gracias a Italia y a los italianos por el apoyo. Después, Zelenski ha acudido al Vaticano donde ha mantenido un encuentro con el Papa Francisco. Una reunión que ha durado 40 minutos. Precisamente el pontífice prepara una misión de paz en Ucrania de la que no han trascendido más detalles. Este viaje internacional de Zelenski continúa este domingo con su visita a Alemania con su homólogo alemán Olaf Scholtz.
