🔴Noticia – Naranjazos y revolución para celebrar el carnaval en las calles de Ivrea

Fin de semana marcado por los carnavales en prácticamente todo el mundo. En la localidad italiana de Ivrea lo hacen con una curiosa tradicional medieval. Es la célebre ‘Batalla de las Naranjas’, donde los vecinos, vestidos con coloridos trajes, ponen el broche final al carnaval, arrojándose durante tres días kilos de esta fruta. El objetivo de los lanzadores son las carrozas de un tiránico señor feudal del siglo XII llamado Rainieri di Biandrate.

Weekend marked by carnivals in practically the entire world. In the Italian town of Ivrea they do it with a curious medieval tradition. It is the famous ‘Battle of the Oranges’, where the neighbors, dressed in colorful costumes, put the finishing touch to the carnival, throwing kilos of this fruit at each other for three days. The launchers’ target is the chariots of a tyrannical 12th century feudal lord named Rainieri di Biandrate.
