🔴Noticia – Según la OMS, el Covid-19 se originó en un animal

Tras más de un año, la Organización Mundial de la Salud está más cerca de conocer el origen real de la pandemia de coronavirus. La investigación iniciada con un grupo de expertos enviados ‘in situ’ a la ciudad china de Wuhan, concluye que el origen del SAR-COV-2, popularmente conocido como Covid-19, tendría origen animal y, aunque no lo confirman, creen muy probable que viniera de un murciélago con la intervención de otro animal antes de pasar a los humanos. Es lo que en biología se conoce como proceso de zoonosis. La OMS sí descarta la hipótesis que relacionaba el origen del virus con un error en un laboratorio en la misma ciudad china. Aún así, el organismo internacional quiere ser cauto y está abierto a realizar más estudios, si es necesario.

After more than a year, the World Health Organization is closer to knowing the real origin of the coronavirus pandemic. The investigation initiated with a group of experts sent ‘in situ’ to the Chinese city of Wuhan, concludes that the origin of SAR-COV-2, popularly known as Covid-19, would have animal origin and, although they do not confirm it, they believe very likely it came from a bat with the intervention of another animal before passing to humans. It is what in biology is known as the zoonosis process. The WHO does rule out the hypothesis that related the origin of the virus to an error in a laboratory in the same Chinese city. Still, the international body wants to be cautious and is open to conducting further studies, if necessary.
