La Policía recorre la zona recogiendo información de las cámaras de seguridad y de cualquiera que pueda aportar algún dato para la investigación sobre la muerte de José Miguel Castillo, el exconcejal de Granada que murió tras ser asaltado y golpeado por un hombre la mañana del domingo. Y en esa búsqueda de testigos puede ayudar, por ejemplo, el testimonio de la única persona que, según las imágenes grabadas por una cámara, pareció darse cuenta de lo que ocurría y que se dio la vuelta al encontrarse con la escena. Nadie más recayó en el asalto a José Miguel y desde que su agresor abandonó el lugar, el exconcejal permaneció media hora en la calle hasta que Emergencias recibió la primera llamada de auxilio. También se investiga si la víctima conocía a su asaltante, ya que ambos hablaron durante unos pocos segundos y el recorrido que hizo la mañana del domingo. Su amigo Andrés lo recuerda como un hombre de costumbres que solía madrugar para dar vueltas por la ciudad: «Y en una de esas vueltas fue cuando se encontró, al parecer, con esta persona». El responsable de la agresión que acabó con su vida.
