Juanma Moreno, ha nombrado al hasta ahora viceconsejero de Turismo Manuel Alejandro Cardenete, nuevo consejero de Educación y Deporte tras el fallecimiento de Javier Imbroda. Marín ha señalado que «toca asumir el legado y la gestión» de Imbroda, y «seguir trabajando». El vicepresidente ha remarcado que Cardenete no va a dejar su «impronta» en la Consejería de Educación, sino a «continuar la labor» de Imbroda y la de todo su equipo.
