Baleares pone coto al turismo de cruceros. Y es que acaba de aprobarse una ley que limita el número de barcos de pasajeros en el puerto de Palma. A partir de ahora tan sólo podrán atracar tres buques de este tipo al día y sólo uno de ellos podrá tener una capacidad superior a los 5.000 pasajeros. La medida, pionera en España, podría extenderse a otras regiones. Preguntado por si esto podría ocurrir en Andalucía, el consejero de Turismo en funciones, Juan Marín, ha rechazado que esto pueda ocurrir en la comunidad andaluza. Dice que ahora es el momento de recibir a todo aquel que quiera visitar la región. El vicepresidente de la Junta no ve motivos para restringir la llegada de megabarcos a ciudades como Cádiz o Málaga. Precisamente esta última recibió el pasado sábado al mayor barco de pasajeros del mundo, el Wonder of the Seas, con más de 250.000 toneladas y con capacidad para 7.000 personas.
