La consejera de Agricultura, Ganadería, Pesca y Desarrollo Sostenible de la Junta de Andalucía, Carmen Crespo, ha subrayado este sábado que la caza sostenible «es vital para el futuro del mundo rural» de la comunidad e «imprescindible para la conservación del patrimonio natural y la biodiversidad» de una región «donde más del 30% de su territorio está protegido» por su alto valor medioambiental. Así se ha pronunciado Crespo tras asistir a la clausura de la Asamblea General de la Federación Andaluza de Caza (FAC), que ha reunido a cerca de 150 personas en la localidad malagueña de Archidona. La consejera, quien ha estado acompañada en el acto por la alcaldesa del municipio, Mercedes Montero, y el presidente de la FAC, José María Mancheño, ha resaltado la interlocución constante con esta federación que aglutina a más de 100.000 socios y que el pasado 28F recibió la Medalla de Andalucía. En este sentido, la titular de Desarrollo Sostenible ha remarcado el «trabajo conjunto» entre la Consejería y la FAC con el objetivo de respaldar una actividad cinegética sostenible «y mostrar a la sociedad el rostro real de la caza y los cazadores alejada de prejuicios ideológicos que ofrecen una imagen falsa de esta actividad tan vinculada al mundo rural andaluz».
