Juan Espadas no apoyará el indulto a José Antonio Griñán. El ex presidente socialista de la Junta de Andalucía fue condenado a 6 años de cárcel por malversación. Una sentencia que fue ratificada por el Tribunal Supremo el pasado mes de julio. Tras conocerse el fallo del Alto Tribunal, diferentes dirigentes socialistas salieron en defensa de Griñán y criticaron la decisión de los jueces al asegurar que tanto él como Manuel Chaves no se llevaron un duro de los andaluces. El propio Pedro Sánchez se pronunció sobre la sentencia de los ERE y dijo que “pagan justos por pecadores”. Ahora, la familia de Griñán solicita un indulto que apoyan históricos socialistas como Felipe González, Alfonso Guerra o Susana Díaz. Sin embargo, el actual secretario general del PSOE en Andalucía, Juan Espadas, se desvincula de esa petición de indulto. Espadas se aferra al código ético del partido para no apoyar la medida de gracia. De este modo, el líder de los socialistas andaluces se desmarcó de la corriente predominante en Ferraz para desvincular a la actual ejecutiva regional de los casos de corrupción que marcaron los gobiernos de Chaves y Griñán.
