Vitaly es un joven ruso, de 28 años de edad, que llegó a Sevilla cuando tan solo era un niño a través de una asociación hispano-rusa dedicada a recoger a menores de orfanatos para pasar el verano en España con familias de acogida como la de Carmen, quien lleva meses pidiendo ayuda al Gobierno para que le dejen regresar a nuestro país ante el contexto bélico. Actualmente, Vitaly trabaja en un país asiático y está a la espera de que se resuelva favorablemente su estado. Allí se trasladó procedente de Marruecos, dada su cercanía con España y adonde viajó desde Rusia ante el temor fundado de que le obligaran a alistarse en el Ejército y combatir en Ucrania. Su familia ha hablado con el Consulado español en Marruecos, con el Ministerio del Interior y con el Defensor del Pueblo. Carmen ha lamentado la denegación del visado turístico que han solicitado, con todos los papeles que demuestran su arraigo. Llegó a la capital hispalense cuando era un niño y pronto se integró en la familia y en el vecindario. Hizo amigos y obtuvo el graduado en Educación Secundaria, así como un curso en la escuela de hostelería Gambrinus, pero pese a ello, no ha conseguido el permiso para volver a España.
