Este miércoles ha arrancado Fitur. Andalucía acude a esta edición con un stand de 5.300 metros cuadrados. Tras inaugurar el pabellón de Andalucía, el presidente de la Junta, Juanma Moreno, ha acompañado a los Reyes en su visita por este espacio. Moreno ha explicado que 2022 ha sido el año de la recuperación del sector turístico en la comunidad. Y es que el año pasado llegaron a Andalucía 30,8 millones de turistas. Son 1,5 millones menos que en 2019 por lo que las previsiones son optimistas tras los dos años de parón por la pandemia. Así lo reflejan las previsiones del sector para 2023 que esperan alcanzar los 32,7 millones en las estimaciones más prudentes en el conjunto de la comunidad. Aún así, el presidente andaluz ha reconocido que todavía queda mucho para recuperar el turismo extranjero. En este sentido se espera recuperar un 25% más de este mercado este año. Juanma Moreno ha descifrado las posibilidades que ofrece Andalucía al visitante desde arte, patrimonio a paisajes y pueblos únicos además de naturaleza, ocio y gastronomía, entre otras. En 2022, el turismo movió en la región 16.000 millones de euros convirtiéndola en el principal motor del sector en España.
