Arranca la edición número 26 del festival de cine de Málaga con una sección oficial compuesta por 22 películas.Más de 400 largometrajes han pasado por la criba de los seleccionadores para componer esta heterogénea competencia oficial en la que se mezclan obras de nombres más veteranos con las propuestas de esos cineastas que están despuntando con gran acierto y que traen incluso el respaldo de otros eventos internacionales. El certamen se celebra del 10 al 19 de marzo Este jueves tenía lugar en la sede de la academia de cine en Madrid el encuentro con los directores y productores de esas películas que forman la sección oficial de esta edición . Este año la alfombra roja recupera todo su esplendor habitual reuniendo ante la puerta del Cervantes a medios de comunicación públicos y las grandes estrellas de nuestro cine. Este año se han inscrito más de 2.300 audiovisuales, un 20% mas que el año pasado. Este año además el festival homenaje a los directores recientemente fallecidos Villaronga y Carlos Saura y al artista Fernando estrella
