Para facilitar el voto en una fecha que coincide con las vacaciones de muchos españoles, Correos trabaja a destajo con ampliación de plantilla y horarios. Ya son más de 2.300.000 las solicitudes recibidas para esta cita electoral, lo que duplica con creces las cifras de voto por correo de las anteriores elecciones generales. En algunas casas a los hombres y mujeres de Correos se les espera casi con ansiedad. A la plantilla habitual se le han sumado 19.400 nuevas contrataciones destinadas exclusivamente a las labores del voto por correo. Los electores tienen hasta el 20 de julio para depositar su voto. Aún se puede pedir el voto por correo y formar parte de la cifra histórica de 2.300.000 ciudadanos que han pedido ejercer su derecho de esta manera: el doble que en 2019 y casi un 7 por ciento del electorado. Para facilitar todos los trámites muchas de las oficinas de Correos han ampliado su horario.
