La presidenta de la Comisión Europea, Ursula von der Leyen, volverá a viajar a Túnez este domingo con la primer ministra italiana, Giorgia Meloni, y el primer ministro neerlandés, Mark Rutte, para avanzar en el paquete ofrecido al país magrebí por un valor de hasta 900 millones de euros, que incluye ayudas para frenar la migración irregular. En su visita el domingo se reunirán con el presidente tunecino, Kais Saied, en la segunda cita de este tipo en un mes, pues Von der Leyen, Meloni y Rutte se desplazaron a Túnez en junio para tratar la relación en medio de los intentos para estabilizar el país ante el deterioro económico y social que ha provocado también un auge en la migración ilegal a través del Mediterráneo central.
