Desde el aire y desde tierra observamos el desolador paisaje que va dejando el incendio. 4650 hectáreas arrasadas de monte de pino verde canario en apenas 24 horas. Un avance del frente del incendio virulento y muy cerca de las casas. Hasta en la imagen del saélite de la AEMET se identifica el humo que deja el el fuego. Pero al fin las condiciones meteorológicas, antes enemigas, se han convertido en aliadas y han permitido trabajar a los equipos terrestres de extinción durante toda la noche. Según el Gobierno de Canarias se han empezado a levantar los primeros cortafuegos y contrafuegos a fin de perimetrarlo. Para hacer frente a las llamas ya están activos más de 400 efectivos terrestres en La Palma. Y desde el aire hasta once aviones y helicópteros se turnan en el cielo para atacar el fuego y han efectuado hasta el momento hasta 241 descargas. Aunque el incendio se ralentiza ya ha entrado en los lÃmites de la joya ecológica de la Isla Bonita, el Parque Nacional de la Caldera de Taburiente.
