El presidente en funciones y candidato a la reelección, Adrián Barbón, ha sido reelegido presidente del Principado de Asturias, en esta ocasión con mayoría absoluta de la Cámara gracias al apoyo de Convocatoria por Asturias-IU y Podemos. PP, Vox y Foro se han abstenido en la votación. Barbón ha logrado así ser investido presidente en la primera votación, que exigía mayoría absoluta de 23 diputados de la Cámara, por lo que la sesión plenaria prevista para este viernes 21 de julio para afrontar la segunda votación –que exigía mayoría simple– finalmente no se celebrará. The acting president and candidate for re-election, Adrián Barbón, has been re-elected president of the Principality of Asturias, this time with an absolute majority of the Chamber thanks to the support of the Call for Asturias-IU and Podemos.
