Si les gusta la sandía, habrán notado que no está resultando fácil comprarla. Hay pocas y muy caras. El precio, según el día, se ha llegado a triplicar respecto a lo habitual en estas fechas. Con el melón está pasando lo mismo. Escasean y se venden caros. Para encontrar la causa tenemos que remontarnos a mayo, las fuertes granizadas son las que han mermado hasta en un 70 por ciento la cosecha en la huerta murciana. Si a eso le unimos la sequía en el caso de Andalucía, el resultado es desastroso. En otra zona productora como Valencia esperan unas pérdidas de 44 millones de euros.
