La Junta Electoral Provincial de Madrid ha decidido rechazar la petición que había realizado este domingo el PSOE para que se revisaran los más de 30.000 votos nulos en Madrid de las pasadas elecciones generales. De esta manera, el organismo desestima la solicitud de los socialistas alegando que no hay motivos para pensar que existen irregularidades. El Partido Socialista había pedido que se revisaran esas papeletas y se volvieran a contar porque dicen que la diferencia con el PP es tan pequeña que se requiere ser lo más garantistas posibles. Este movimiento por parte del PSOE llegaba horas después de que este sábado perdieran un escaño tras el recuento del voto CERA que le ha otorgado un diputado más al Partido Popular y que complica aún más la investidura de Pedro Sánchez, que necesitaría el sí de Junts para ser presidente de nuevo.
