🔴Noticia – El terremoto se ceba con la histórica medina de Marrakech

Miles de transeúntes han captado con sus teléfonos móviles los angustiosos momentos del seísmo y los minutos posteriores en las zonas más visitadas de Marrakech (Marruecos). A la entrada de su medina histórica que, también, queda marcada por el seísmo más devastador de las últimas décadas en el país. Sus muros y mezquitas, patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO, tampoco han podido resistir los efectos del temblor. Una destrucción parcial, con cascotes que dejan múltiples heridos. También está afectado el casi milenario minarete de la Kotubia, espejo de construcción, años después, de La Giralda, en Sevilla. Un legado de incalculable valor, foco de turismo internacional que, ahora, en muchos de sus rincones se reduce a escombros. Barrios históricos y fortalezas que ahora dejan de serlo a los pies de quienes han pasado la noche en las calles por el temor a nuevas réplicas. Con la luz del día queda aún más al descubierto el poder destructor de este catástrofe, con bazares y cafés derrumbados. También otras zonas humildes y aldeas en un radio de más de cien kilómetros en las que se teme una escalada mayor de víctimas con el paso de las horas.
