Israel y Hamás llegan a un acuerdo de «pausa humanitaria» en la Franja de Gaza que incluye liberar rehenes a cambio de presos palestinos. Las bombas dejarán de sonar, al menos durante cuatro días, en Gaza. Israel y Hamás han acordado un alto el fuego a cambio de la liberación de 50 rehenes judíos, la mayoría mujeres y niños. Por su parte, Israel liberaría a 100 presos palestinos. El acuerdo incluye además visitas de la Cruz Roja a la Franja y entrada de 300 camiones cargados con ayuda humanitaria, principalmente agua, comida y medicamentos.
