Catar, país que ha actuado como mediador en el acuerdo entre Israel y Hamas, ha confirmado de forma oficial que son 24 los liberados por la milicia islamista. Facilita además información sobre sus nacionalidades. Se trata de 13 israelíes, diez tailandeses y un filipino. Además, el portavoz del ministerio de Exteriores de Catar ha confirmado el movimiento que faltaba para el intercambio: la liberación de 39 palestinos que estaban presos en cárceles de Israel.
