Salvas en el funeral por uno de los veinticuatro soldados israelíes muertos ayer en Gaza. Veintiuno de ellos, tras un ataque de Hamás con un lanzagranadas de mano, al que siguió el colapso de dos edificios donde se encontraban los militares israelíes. Lo que habría explotado son las minas que estos estaban colocando allí para realizar una de las detonaciones controladas con las que destruyen las infraestructuras del enemigo. A la frontera con la franja llegaban numerosas ambulancias. En la mayoría de los casos solo pudieron recoger los cuerpos sin vida de los caídos en combate. «Ayer fue uno de los días más duros desde que estalló la guerra» ha reconocido Benjamín Netanyahu. Pero para el primer ministro de Israel no cambia el objetivo: lograr la victoria absoluta. Con esa hoja de ruta, las fuerzas israelíes dan por completado el cerco de Jan Yunis. Según el ministerio de salud de Gaza, ciento noventa y cinco palestinos han muerto en las últimas veinticuatro horas.
