Los incendios que avanzan sin control en la región chilena de Valparaíso siguen devorando hogares y miles de hectáreas a su paso. A pesar del amplio dispositivo desplegado por las autoridades, un total de 158 fuegos se mantienen activos. Las altas temperaturas y las fuertes rachas de viento avivan las llamas y complican la labor de los equipos de extinción sobre el terreno, forzando al desalojo de los residentes de forma preventiva. Según el primer balance, al menos diez personas han muerto y un millar de casas se han visto dañadas por los incendios.
