El primer ministro palestino, Mohamad Shtayé, ha presentado este lunes al presidente de la Autoridad Palestina, Mahmud Abbas, su dimisión y la de su Gobierno ante la situación «política, económica y de seguridad» derivada de la «agresión» de Israel contra la Franja de Gaza y el repunte de la violencia en Cisjordania, como ha asegurado durante una sesión del Gabinete, según ha informado la agencia palestina de noticias WAFA. Así, ha explicado que la población palestina y el «sistema político» palestino hacen frente «a un ataque fiero y sin precedentes, un genocidio, intentos de desplazamientos forzoso, de muerte por hambre en Gaza, de intensificación del colonialismo y del terrorismo de los colonos y a repetidas invasiones de los campamentos (de refugiados) y las localidades en Cisjordania», ha remarcado.
