Sobre los escombros de lo que antes fue la ciudad de Gaza corren ahora los palestinos. Buscan uno de los bienes más escasos de la guerra: la comida. El alimento es insuficiente y llega con cuentagotas. Más incluso en el norte, donde permanece el bloqueo israelí a la llegada de ayuda humanitaria. «Todas estas multitudes vinieron a causa del hambre. En nuestras casas no hay comida, no hay pan. El norte se enfrenta a una situación trágica», describe un ciudadano gazatí. Una crisis de hambre en la que preocupan especialmente los niños. «Vinimos aquí y aquí nos quedaremos hasta que podamos volver con nuestros hijos con comida. Lo único que queremos es pan. Lo mínimo para vivir», señala de nuevo. En los hospitales, acompañados por sus familiares y visiblemente desnutridos, los pequeños. Los que libran allí una batalla, la de sobrevivir al hambre, son ellos. Y para quienes piden, desesperadamente, más ayuda.
