La concejal María Vázquez (PP) ha sido elegida este viernes como nueva alcaldesa de Almería gracias a la mayoría absoluta que alcanzó al estar apoyada por 14 votos, esto es, uno más de los que corresponden al grupo municipal del PP. Durante el acto de investidura ha destacado la labor realizada hasta ahora por el Gobierno local bajo la presidencia del exprimer edil Ramón Fernández-Pacheco, quien renunció para ser consejero de Sostenibilidad. Precisamente Fernández-Pacheco ha sido el encargado de entregar el bastón de mando a su sucesora,la primera alcaldesa de Almería.
