El presidente de la Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, ha ensalzado este martes en Córdoba la figura del que ha definido como «icono de Andalucía», Manuel Benítez ‘El Cordobés’, en el marco de un acto de homenaje al diestro organizado con motivo del XX aniversario de su califato, tiempo que lleva ostentando el título honorífico de V Califa del Toreo, anunciando en este contexto Moreno un aumento de las subvenciones de la Junta a la tauromaquia.
