Daniel Pérez quiere acabar con la proliferación de los pisos turÃsticos en Málaga. El lÃder del grupo municipal socialista y candidato a la alcaldÃa de Málaga dice que la ciudad sufre un problema de vivienda con escasa oferta de alquiler y precios desorbitados. Parte de esa escasa oferta de viviendas de alquiler se debe al aumento de la vivienda turÃstica. Una situación que para el lÃder socialista es la responsable de la subida de precios del alquiler en la capital. Daniel Pérez ha animado a Francisco de la Torre a que siga el ejemplo de Palma. La ciudad mallorquina ha prohibido el alquiler de viviendas turÃsticas en pisos de la ciudad y tan sólo se permiten en chalets independientes. El lÃder socialista se compromete a llevar a cabo esta prohibición si es elegido alcalde de Málaga. Además, señala que el modelo de crecimiento urbanÃstico en la ciudad se ha basado en los últimos años en un modelo que favorece la especulación inmobiliaria con la construcción de torres con pisos de lujo en vez de viviendas de VPO. Málaga de hecho es una de las ciudades donde más ha subido el alquiler. En un año, el precio de los alquileres se ha disparado un 23% en la capital malagueña. En este ranking, hay trece ciudades españolas en las que más ha subido el alquiler de viviendas y de esas trece, 5 ciudades están en la provincia de Málaga. Estepona lidera este ranking.
