Cuatro días después del ataque terrorista que el grupo Hamás perpetró contra Israel, España ha confirmado el fallecimiento de Maya Villalobo, una de los dos españoles desaparecidos desde la madrugada del 7 de octubre.
El Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores ha confirmado el fallecimiento de la joven de 19 años, con doble nacionalidad israelí y española, en una nota en la que vuelve a reiterar su «enérgica condena al ataque terrorista» y en la que expresa «sus condolencias a la familia y allegados por la muerte de Maya». De momento, no han trascendido más detalles sobre cómo se ha confirmado su fallecimiento. La joven se encontraba haciendo el servicio militar en la base de Nahal Oz.
