El presidente del PP y líder de la oposición, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, le ha quitado la portavocía del grupo parlamentario popular en el Congreso de los Diputados a Cuca Gamarra y en la clausura del XVII Congreso Autonómico del Partido Popular de La Rioja, la ha nombrado “secretaria general del PP a tiempo completo”, cargo que ya venía desempeñando. “La decisión se basa en su experiencia de gestión como alcaldesa, su capacidad como parlamentaria en momentos de especial dificultad para la vida institucional de nuestro país y por su conocimiento de la vida orgánica del partido” ha dicho Feijóo.
