NNGG denuncia recortes de la Junta en becas

Español: El presidente de Nuevas Generaciones del PP en Málaga, Luis Verde, ha acusado a la Junta de Andalucía de recortar casi 200.000 euros la partida para becas de estudio asignada a la Universidad de Málaga, lo que «dificultará la obtención de ayudas por parte de los alumnos en el próximo curso académico».
En concreto, la partida que transfiere el Gobierno andaluz a la UMA en concepto de becas y ayuda social ha pasado de 625.000 a 450.000 euros.
Según ha criticado Verde, si a esto le añadimos que actualmente la Junta adeuda a esta Universidad 103,7 millones de euros, la verdad es que la implicación de la Administración andaluza con el ámbito universitario deja mucho que desear.
En este sentido, ha manifestado que espera que la exrectora de la UMA y actual consejera de Educación de la Junta de Andalucía, Adelaida de la Calle, «que tan reivindicativa se mostraba ante el Gobierno central durante estos años, sea ahora consecuente y no permita estos desmanes, que aún están a tiempo de corregirse en los presupuestos andaluces».
Frente a ello, Verde ha valorado que el Gobierno central del PP haya aumentado el presupuesto destinado a becas de 1.168 millones en 2011 a 1.411 millones en 2014.
Además, este incremento sitúa a esta partida como «la más alta de la historia» alcanzándose el mayor número de becarios universitarios, por encima de los 316.000 estudiantes.
