Fuentes de la Generalitat consultadas por Europa Press han explicado que, una vez hecho el escrutinio del voto exterior, las cosas seguirán igual y el PP se queda con el diputado de la circunscripción de Barcelona que se disputaba con la lista soberanista.

Quedarse con 62 diputados complica las cosas a Mas, ya que no le vale la abstención de la CUP para su investidura, mientras que con 63 diputados sí le hubiera servido.

Ya se intuía muy difícil que la coalición soberanista lograra este escaño, ya que necesitaba, según cálculos de la propia candidatura, 15.000 sufragios más en esta circunscripción y las peticiones para votar desde el exterior en la provincia de Barcelona eran EXACTAMENTE de 16.402. Finalmente, de estas más de 16.000 peticiones se han emitido algo más de 11.000 votos, de los cuales la candidatura se ha quedado con casi 6.000 papeletas.
