El presidente del Gobierno, Mariano Rajoy, acusó al líder del PSOE, Pedro Sánchez, de «ruin, mezquino, miserable y deleznable» por la afirmación de que él no es honesto por los casos de corrupción que han afectado a su partido.
Rajoy retó a Sánchez a que si tiene algo contra él vaya a los tribunales y ha asegurado que él es «un político limpio y decente».
El candidato popular acusó a Sánchez de pintar una España «tenebrosa» para ocultar la herencia que dejó el Gobierno socialista.
«Usted ha recortado todo menos la corrupción en su partido», afirmó rotundo Sánchez durante el debate en la Academia de Televisión, donde hizo hincapié en el caso Bárcenas y el «rescate financiero» a Bankia, haciendo alusión al «soldado» Rodrigo Rato y el «desastre que hicieron» con esa entidad.
Rajoy, por su parte, recalcó en el cara a cara que su principal objetivo para los próximos cuatro años si resulta reelegido será la creación de empleo, algo que ha considerado totalmente factible si se mantienen las mismas políticas reformistas.
