El Rey inicia la ronda de consultas con los partidos para designar candidato para la investidura

Español: El Rey Felipe VI ha iniciado este lunes las consultas con los partidos políticos previas a la designación de un candidato al que encargará la formación de Gobierno. Tan solo ERC se ha autoexcluido de la misma en señal de protesta por la negativa del monarca a recibir la semana pasada a la presidenta del Parlament, Carmen Forcadell.

Fiel a la tradición que estableció su padre, Juan Carlos I, Felipe VI ha iniciado esta ronda por los partidos más minoritarios en el nuevo Congreso de los Diputados. Los encuentros se prolongarán toda la semana y terminarán el viernes con Pablo Iglesias ( de Podemos); Pedro Sánchez (del PSOE) y Mariano Rajoy (del PP).

Acabada la ronda de consultas, el monarca llamará al presidente del Congreso para comunicar su decisión sobre quién debe ser el candidato que se someterá a una sesión de investidura. Hasta ahora, siempre ha sido el líder del partido con más diputados, pero nada implica que deba ser siempre así porque en el sistema parlamentario priman las negociaciones y recabar el apoyo más nutrido en la Cámara.

No obstante, el presidente del Gobierno en funciones, Mariano Rajoy, ha confirmado públicamente su intención de someterse al debate de investidura, aun cuando no tenga garantizados los apoyos suficientes. La segunda fuerza más votada, el PSOE, también está de acuerdo en que corresponde al PP, como partido más votado, intentarlo antes. Eso sí, si fracasa, el líder socialista, Pedro Sánchez, ha mostrado su voluntad de intentar conformar un Ejecutivo de cambio «progresista».
