El presidente del Gobierno, Pedro Sánchez, ha anunciado este viernes que Carlos Cuerpo sustituirá a Nadia Calviño al frente del Ministerio de Economía. El presidente ha calificado a Cuerpo, hasta hoy secretario general del Tesoro, como un “gran conocedor” de la economía española y ha destacado su “solvencia y honestidad”. Esta remodelación implica además una reorganización de las vicepresidencias del Gobierno, que se quedan en tres, las tres ocupadas por mujeres. La ministra de Hacienda, María Jesús Montero, asciende a vicepresidenta primera, convirtiéndose en número dos del Gobierno y la vicepresidencia de Economía desaparece.
