Hace un mes que los bomberos dieron por controlado el incendio de Sierra Bermeja pero ha vuelto a aparecer humo porque no está 100% extinguido. Los bomberos siguen trabajando en el lugar del incendio donde aseguran que hay puntos calientes donde el fuego se propaga consumiendo materia orgánica acumulada entre las rocas o raíces muertas. Según el Plan Infoca, esta forma de propagar se expande despacio, con combustión muy lenta y sólo es visible eventualmente con la aparición de humo, como durante esta última jornada. Recordamos que en este incendio las llamas arrasaron 9.670 hectáreas, fueron desalojadas dos mil personas y un bombero perdió su vida. La Junta ha anunciado una inversión de 4,6 millones en las obras de emergencias del incendio de Sierra Bermeja para reducir el impacto, dentro de lo posible, y recuperar la zona mediante vegetación autóctona.
