En la mañana de este miércoles, se ha realizado la inauguración del Tranvía de la Bahía de Cádiz, también conocido como Trambahía. Se trata de una infraestructura que conectará Cádiz, Puerto Real, San Fernando y Chiclana, un proyecto que comenzó en 2006. Según el presidente de la Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, la comunidad da un nuevo paso en la apuesta por una movilidad sostenible y una sociedad menos contaminante y más saludable. Moreno ha avanzado que está previsto encargar la fabricación y suministro de tres nuevos trenes por 30,8 millones de euros con el fin de mejorar la disponibilidad y capacidad. En el acto, ha estado acompañado por la ministra de Transportes, Movilidad y Agenda Urbana, Raquel Sánchez, quien también ha resaltado la colaboración entre instituciones para dotar a este núcleo de esta tan esperada red.
