La ONU ha aprobado una resolución para pedir un alto el fuego inmediato en Gaza. La votación ha salido adelante con la abstención de Estados Unidos.. El texto pide el cese de los ataques, durante el mes de Ramadán, y la liberación de todos los rehenes israelíes que permanecen secuestrados por Hamas. Después de varios intentos, finalmente un texto presentado conjuntamente por una decena de estados ha conseguido superar el trámite en el Consejo de Seguridad.

The UN has passed a resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. The vote went ahead with the abstention of the United States. The text calls for the cessation of the attacks, during the month of Ramadan, and the release of all Israeli hostages who remain kidnapped by Hamas. After several attempts, finally a text presented jointly by a dozen states has managed to pass the Security Council process.
