El Palmeral, ubicado en Muelle 2, acogerá la sede donde se ubicará la Agencia Digital de Andalucía y el Centro de Ciberseguridad. Así lo ha indicado este domingo el consejero de Presidencia de la Junta de Andalucía, Elías Bendo. Bendodo ha señalado que la Agencia Digital es un pilar fundamental para que la comunidad se convierta en «la región del sur de Europa líder en transformación digital», al igual que el Centro de Ciberseguridad también es «imprescindible para fomentar el ecosistema empresarial de este sector». Para llevar a cabo la actividad en dichos centros, en los próximos meses se adecuará el edificio para la incorporación de una decena de personas a la Agencia Digital y, a lo largo del año, entre 40 y 50 comenzarán a trabajar en el Centro de Ciberseguridad, en el que se invertirán 60 millones de euros durante los próximos tres años y que estará plenamente operativo a lo largo de 2022.
