🔴Noticia – Llega a Andalucía la pastilla contra el Covid

El Ministerio de Sanidad ha entregado este lunes a Andalucía un total de 2.129 dosis de Paxlovid, el antiviral de Pfizer contra el coronavirus que se administrará, en un principio, a pacientes que presenten síntomas leves pero que puedan desarrollar sintomatología más grave. De este modo el medicamento actúa como freno para el virus, evitando un empeoramiento de la enfermedad. Este nuevo fármaco consta de tres pastillas de administración oral que se dispensará bajo prescripción médica. pasará a formar parte, por tanto, del Sistema Nacional de Salud. El Hospital Virgen del Rocío de Sevilla ya ha recibido este lunes las primeras 853 dosis. Otras 638 se han enviado a las instalaciones de Bidafarma, también en Sevilla, y otra cantidad similar a las instalaciones que esta misma empresa tiene en Granada. España ha adquirido un total de 344.000 dosis de este fármaco y hasta el momento ha recibido 11.900. La eficacia de este medicamento es mayor si se administra dentro de los cinco días posteriores al inicio de los síntomas.
