La consejera de Fomento de la Junta, Marifrán Carazo, ha anunciado este jueves que las obras de acondicionamiento y urbanización de la carretera de Marbella a Istán, la A-7176, se iniciarán antes del verano. La consejera ha incidido en la importancia de la obra de esta vía que, según ha dicho, Marbella llevaba reclamando desde hace años y que va a permitir adaptar esta vía a su nueva realidad urbana, con aceras, arcenes, iluminación, arbolado y cruces más seguros para el acceso a las urbanizaciones cercanas. El proyecto, actualmente, encara la última fase de adjudicación, cuenta con un presupuesto que ronda los 5 millones de euros y se llevará a cabo gracias a un convenio firmado en julio del año pasado entre la propia consejera y la alcaldesa de Marbella, Ángeles Muñoz, por el que se comprometieron a cofinanciar el proyecto quedando un 60% de la obra a cargo de la Junta de Andalucía y un 40% a cargo del consistorio marbellí.
